Looooong overdue prize for , though with her being absent from DA for almost a year, I'm not sure if she'll get this :<
I tried something new with this, and I'm pretty impressed. Especially with the time taken! I did it straight on Photoshop so no needing to wait until I can use the scanner even.
Unfortunately, I'm currently unable to access my private messages on ToT, where I had links to his reference image D: so I had to do it from memory (and from the image I had going for ages before scrapping it in favour of this last night). But I hope it's accurate enough.
Yey. A companion piece (his sister, Eliza) is to follow, but I don't know when.
Wow, I love the use of colour here! The purple shade just seems to pull the whole picture together perfectly! The hat is awesome, for some reason I keep expecting the hand on the watch to move! The only improvement I can think of is perhaps a little more work on defining the smaller details, but then again, that might just mess with the feel of the drawing.
And this is all photoshop? No base sketch or anything? Man, that's awesome!

I am glad you like this piece, and especially happy the watch got such a reaction! I was worried about it not looking right.
I tried not to go as detailled on this piece and give it more of a painterly look, but I could certainly attempt to define some of the smaller details... Do you have any specific areas that you think need especially defining?
And yup, this was all on Photoshop... There was sort of a base sketch/skeleton before I started laying down the colours, but that was also drawn straight with the tablet.
I was mainly thinking about the clothing (folds, seams, etc) and the hair, but like you said, the broad strokes is a very good look for it, and too much fiddling with details might mess with that. But I'd be interesting to see!

Wow, I absolutely love the colors in this piece and I also think that the thick strokes and the sort of painted look works well! The mood of this piece is serously awesome! I love it <333
The sketchy effect is intended, but you're not the first person to say that it could use a little more refinement and detail, so I guess I should, haha!
Thank you very much though! I will have to wrap this thing up some time.

This article explores the basics of watchers and how we react to certain situations. Although it does not affect some deviants, and the tips are generally related to common sense, we hope the article is a worthwhile read and that the majority learn something from reading this.
