Companion piece to Keagan DeLamare, both pieces being for the lovely Miss :iconmadriku:

I'm not so happy with this one :/ I tried something I'd never done before, which was go from light colours to dark (as opposed to Keagan, where I went from dark to light). Considering I have trouble with highlights in the first place, it was probably a bad idea and as a result this looks a bit washed out. Sorry T_T

On a good note, I managed to get a resemblance down without REALLY cheating. I used the same skeleton I made for Keagan, and then adjusted it to make it smaller and a little unique for Eliza. So hopefully they look like family :) It was also a noteable achievement that once again, this was done entirely on Photoshop with no off-computer steps involved.

Crits hugely appreciated.

Actually I think it created a cool effect, especially in contrasting the two pictures. And seriously, that was totally clever to use the same skeleton so to speak. The raised eyebrow is so Eliza XD The movement in her hair really draws the eye and looks sweet.

Thank you so much!!! I'm glad that it worked out ok despite my worries and you liked it :)

Yay for capturing the character right!!!

Also thanks for the comment and fave, haha.

I would agree. There are too many lights here and not enough darks. But overall, it's pretty good! :D

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

for the club~

I think if you kept working on it, to the point you do see some darks, you could get ti to a point that you like it. Right now it feels like its at 60% finished. The hair has a see thru quality to it, thats what I notice most of all. I bet if you worked at it more and refined slowly as you went along, you could get it to a point you like. '3'!

The idea of it was meant to be that there weren't many darks - to contrast with its companion piece where there aren't many lights. But I do see what you're getting at :) Perhaps I'll have to go back to it sometime :)
:iconjetster77:
I'll have to work in some more darks I guess when I eventually go back to this one XD

ah I see. o3o Motive for an artist can sometimes be difficult to decipher. art critics make a living on trying to figure out that very thing.
